Interview Questions
- Describe a time when you have had to overcome a challenge.
- When I first started considering working as a web professional full time I needed to work on web projects 30-40 hours a week. Because I was already employed 40-50 hours a week at my rent paying job, I worked night and weekends for almost a year. It was a hard sacrifice to make, but it was well worth it.
- What do you like most about your job?
- The freedom I have experienced working for myself, and making a living off my wits.
- What kind of job are you looking for?
- I am always looking for exciting new experiences. I love to live off my wits, and would love to work with other daring young professionals who put it all out on the line to make it happen.
I love creative work spaces, but prefer the routine of a set schedule.
- What do you want to do when you grow up?
- Work on web sites, web companies, and do a lot of deer hunting.
- What is the toughest problem you have had to solve?
- This seems to be a hard question, simply because I do not approach problems with a hint of doubt. I expect my self to overcome difficult circumstances. In that way my glass is always half full.
If there were any problem that stumped me beyond my ability to work through it was something under the hood of a car. I think like an engineer, but apparently not like a mechanic.
- What are you most passionate about?
- Experiencing Life! I love to read, write, play guitar, camp, fish, hike, hunt, and golf.
I love to experience the world around me, and find the most fulfillment in trying new experiences. I have yet to learn to paint, or write a published book. They are however.. on the list!
- How would your co-workers describe you?
- Dedicated, and visionary
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- I see my self working with a greater number of high profile clients in my current career field. I also see my self taking more of an active role in the community as a whole. I expect to see my self speaking on web technologies to peers, or client groups in the next few years.
- What did you learn from your previous job?
- Many of my previous Jobs have taught me important lessons. My Business mentor, Ron Lerma, taught me the importance of relationship and communication in business. These last few years have taught me just how much that principle remains true in all aspects of business, and reputation.
- What are your strengths? Weaknesses?
- As a leader I am able to access risk and make quick decisions on my feet. I am excellent at communicating technical concepts to civilians and using technology in innovative ways to help improve the productivity and market reach of brick and mortar businesses.
One of my weaknesses lies in my complete, some times overwhelming, dedication to my work. I often find my self working to many late hours because I am simply enjoying the work.
- Why did you choose this career?
- This is my dream job. When i turned fifteen I became so interested in computers that I became an instant nerd. Now more than ten years later, I am still fascinated by the internet today as much as I was ten years ago.
Web Design has always been something I have wanted to do full time, it has only become possible as a full time career a few years ago.
