Interview Questions
- Why did you choose this career?
- I enjoy solving complex technical and organizational problems that deal with technology. Years ago I always tried to avoid computer work because I didn't want to ruin how much I enjoyed my hobby, but in the end this is what I'm good at, and what I am supposed to be doing for a living.
- Describe your ideal work environment.
- A company in which most people respect one another, and upper management cares about making the company better. A relaxed atmosphere, but in a crisis everyone is willing to wake up at 3am or work on a weekend to protect the company.
- What do you want to do when you grow up?
- I always wanted to be a firefighter in NYC.
- What are you most passionate about?
- Computers take up a bit of my time, but more important to me were the 15 years I spent as an Emergency Medical Technician in New York City, and the time I now spend on Fair Lawn Rescue. Going on a Rescue call is rewarding not just because each call presents a problem that must be solved quickly, but because I know in every case my goal is to save a life or the environment.
- What are your strengths? Weaknesses?
- My strength is my ability to fix things, and to be able to take a step back to see the big picture. My weakness is that I usually invest myself too much personally in wanting my company to do the right things, and sometimes I'm left disapointed by others that do not care about the company.
